Catholic Education Partners

Serving the Catholic community by advancing policy that empowers families and children to enjoy the benefits of a Catholic education.

Catholic Education Partners (CEP) believes parental empowerment over their children’s education opportunities will allow more families to benefit from Catholic education, allay the Catholic school-funding crisis, protect the religious integrity and autonomy of parochial schools, and ultimately serve the Common Good.

CEP’s purpose is to partner with state Catholic conferences, Bishops and other clergy, Catholic school leaders and families, and other stakeholders to advance state policies that allow more families to access Catholic education, while protecting the autonomy and integrity of Catholic schools.

True to the doctrines of subsidiarity and solidarity, this is a supplementary effort to unify and enhance the education choice work of Catholic conferences, diocesan policy officials, and Catholic school leaders in their respective states.

What We Do

Public Policy

Engage in public policy on behalf of Catholic community by drafting policy and conducting state government relations in annually-selected priority states.

Community Outreach

Advance Catholic grassroots outreach for education choice by equipping and mobilizing Catholic school and Church leaders, families and parishes. This will also provide ministerial formation and outreach to families, assisting implementation and enabling access to education choice programs so more families may attend Catholic schools.

Research and Data Collection

Establish a "tool kit" of resources for the Catholic community, including data on Catholic education and education choice nationally and specific to each state, an interactive website that provides research, model policy, data on Catholic schools, and best practices from successful Catholic conferences. CEP will also engage media and publish public policy briefs.

Parents, who have the primary and inalienable right and duty to educate their children, must enjoy true liberty in their choice of schools.
